Thomas J. Stephens, Ph.D.
Is the Founder and President of Stephens & Associates. Dr. Stephens has a Ph.D. in immunology from Iowa State University and an M.S. from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Stephens has over 25 years of experience in product safety evaluation and toxicology. He was Director of Product Safety and Claims Substantiation Worldwide at Mary Kay Cosmetics and served as Divisional Toxicologist at The Procter & Gamble Company. He has published over 80 scientific articles, technical posters, and book chapters in medicine and science. Dr. Stephens serves on the Board of Associate Editors for the Journal of Toxicology - Cutaneous and Ocular Toxicology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. In 2000, he was elected to the "Leaders Society" of the Dermatology Foundation.

Ronald L. Rizer, Ph.D.
Serves as Senior Vice-President of Operations for Stephens & Associates. Dr. Rizer received his Ph.D. from New York University, his M.A. from Hunter College, CUNY, and his B.S. from the University of Maine. Dr. Rizer has over 30 years of dermatological and skin care product development and research experience. He directed skin care product development and new skin and hair technology at S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. and directed skin, hair, and endocrine research at the Orentreich Medical Group and Foundation in New York. He served on the faculties of the Department of Dermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Division of Science at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Rizer has published numerous articles and book chapters on skin biochemistry, the biophysical properties of the skin, claims substantiation, hair and acne research, and the biology of aging skin. Dr. Rizer is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. In 1998, he was co-recipient of the Shaw Mudge & Company Award for outstanding scientific research in ethnic skin.

Monya L. Sigler, Ph.D.
Serves as Vice-President of Operations for Stephens & Associates. Dr Sigler received her Ph.D. from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and her B.S. from Texas A&M University. She has been with Stephens' since 1995 and has clinical trial experience in the areas of women's health, ethnic skin, sensory testing, wound healing, acnegenicity, and photoaging. Dr. Sigler has published numerous articles on skin biochemistry, clinical and biophysical properties of the skin, skin sensitivity in ethnic skin and has authored chapters on clinical claims substantiation. Dr. Sigler is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Drug Information Association.
